Deacon Tigran Khachikyan serves at St. Ghevontantis Armenian Cathedral in Burbank, California. He is Deaf, and so is his wife, Maria—together they are raising their two CODA children, Sofia and Samvel, in the richness of the apostolic faith. His calling is to make the invisible visible, bringing the stories, prayers, traditions, and saints of Orthodox Christianity to life through American Sign Language and Armenian Sign Language, for Deaf and hearing alike. Through sign, the ancient faith comes alive. The Word became flesh—everyone belongs.
